In this role, Tom is responsible for policy considerations related to the decarbonization of the transportation sector, the energy and environmental impacts of autonomous vehicles, and urban mobility issues, products, and services.
Prior to joining GM, Tom served in the Legislative Analyst’s Office in Sacramento, California, where he was an expert on issues related to the state’s high-speed rail project, bicycle infrastructure programs, and statewide transportation funding.
He and his work have been quoted by media outlets. He has also featured as an interview guest on California public affairs show The Maddy Report and testified as an expert witness before the California State Legislature on several occasions.
